Ryokan Tanigawa provided a truly authentic Japanese onsen experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff's exceptional hospitality made us feel welcome and at home. The attention to detail was evident, with little touches like serving specially made hot tea and delicious sweets upon arrival. The rooms, located on the top floor with picturesque views of the snow-covered hills and mountains, were spacious and well-equipped. The hotel also had a variety of indoor and outdoor baths, where we could relax and soak while enjoying the beautiful snowfall. The high quality of the food served at the small private room for dinner and breakfast was a delightful treat.
All was perfect.

We particularly enjoyed the hotel facilities, such as the spacious rooms and the fantastic on-site parking. The snowy mountains surrounding the hotel were beautiful to look at. The staff was friendly, welcoming with good hospitality. One of the best things about the hotel was the peaceful atmosphere. The private onsen experience was amazing and worth the try. The food presented was very authentic and well-prepared.
There were some negative aspects to the experience. The hotel room was not very comfortable to be in, the chairs were quite stiff and uncomfortable to sit on.

The hotel offered an authentic experience, which was really nice. The staff were courteous and helpful. The location was great for us as it was in a peaceful area away from the city. The room was spacious with comfortable beds, and the hotel had an onsen that was well-maintained.
The hotel was a bit of a trek from the train station, so it wasn't the most convenient location. Also, communication with staff can be a bit of a challenge if you don't speak Japanese. though, we had a great experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for a traditional and peaceful getaway.
